
Emma Kate Thome, Ph.D., CF-SLP
Research Speech-Language Pathologist
Emma Kate Thome is a Research Speech-Language Pathologist in the Emerging Language and Knowledge Laboratory and the Participant Core. Dr. Thome earned her B.S. and M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Mississippi. She then completed a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Georgia. Dr. Thome has conducted research on a range of topics, including evidence-based practice, critical thinking, pseudoscience, stuttering, dyslexia and developmental disabilities. Her role in the Participant Core is to support research focused on late talkers and children with developmental language disorder.
