Samantha Steier, M.S., CCC-SLP
Bilingual Research Speech-Language Pathologist (English/Spanish)

Samantha Steier is a bilingual speech-language pathologist in the Participant Core. She received a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science as well as Spanish from the University of Iowa. Within a specialty track emphasizing bilingualism, Samantha completed her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Texas Christian University. Her previous clinical focus included working with culturally and linguistically diverse children in both the public schools and outpatient hospital clinic settings. Samantha has evaluated and treated medically complex children with speech, language, pragmatics, aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, voice, fluency, feeding, dysphagia and cognitive-linguistic differences and impairments. This experience supports her current role within the Clinical Measurement Program at Boys Town National Research Hospital, where Samantha partners with various labs investigating children with speech and language disorders, provides standardized test measures equitably to research participants, administers community speech and language screenings, and establishes connections within the community to build relationships and foster awareness of BTNRH’s research endeavors.
