Studying Developmental Language Disorder in Adults
Researchers at the Boys Town National Research Hospital Institute of Human Neuroscience are studying how the brain functions in adults with and without language disorders. Our goal is to better understand the impact of developmental language disorder on the brain and cognition in adults. Your participation will help us learn more about the precise brain and biological mechanisms behind this disorder, with the goal of understanding better its neurological origins.
Who can
participate?
Eligible
participants are:
- Ages 19 years old and above
- Has typical language or has a language disorder
What will
participants do?
Participants
will complete several research visits lasting between 2 and 4 hours.
During their visits, participants will:
- Play some games and answer questions
- Have a free brain MRI scan
- May give saliva and hair samples
